Tecora was born out of frustration with the way professional transcription works today. While working at Deloitte, I was tasked again and again with preparing meeting minutes for C-level executives — documents that carried weight, influence, and responsibility.Yet every time, I ran into the same problem: the technology available to support this work simply wasn’t good enough.
Cloud-based tools might have delivered speed, but they introduced unacceptable risks — sensitive conversations uploaded into systems where data privacy could not be guaranteed. Local or offline tools existed, but they were clumsy, outdated, and inaccurate. Industry jargon, financial terminology, and legal nuance were often lost in translation, leaving me to spend hours re-reading, correcting, and rewriting.
It was clear to me: this was more than an inconvenience — it was a systemic gap. In industries where confidentiality is non-negotiable, professionals were being forced to choose between accuracy and security. That’s not a real choice. From this realization, Tecora was born.
